With it's own arrows it deals around 250 damage, while orcish bow has 98 damage. Lastly, a bound bow is noisy so you can't even sneak with it.įrom what I see, my bound bow is stronger than orcish bow + orcish arrows. You can sustain illusion spells and still get decent regen. But with robes and masks, you get 14-15 regen. Without it, you most likely get 4-5 regen with enchants, alchemy, and everything. You can wear robe and be nearly indestructible by stacking alteration, illusion, and healing aura 3. You kill everything with conjuration.Īlso I don't know why you think robes will be useless. Once you level up conjuration wtih all the perks, you don't even need the bow. It's one of my first builds when I started requiem. But if you use better arrows, you might as well not use bound bow. The arrow does absolutely nothing to undead until you get the perk at 75. The problem is the arrow is useless until you get the last perk. I recall once I had necromancer's amulet, I can cast it 2-3 times. suggestions on getting this to work? Am I stuck with buying every level up in conjuration until I get 75? What about standing stone then? Thanks in advance! I'm curious about this Atronach Stone option, this would be so good to get Bound Bow early in the game. This will be probably the hardest place in the whole game for this build, since everything but Dragon Priests will be easily manageable by summons. Maybe someone here have tested it?Īlternatively, when I get Way of the Voice perk + some decent shouts, I could probably either kill or damage severly dragon priests, then finish with slow time and bound bow. for Dragon Priests I'd probably need about 350 damage on a bow, so I'm asking. No smithing, maybe enchanting then to make conjuration reducing cost items? Not sure if I should go restoration, maybe I do for fighting undeads? Or maybe bound bow with all the perks and silver arrows will do the job? I'm not sure how's the damage on this bow and if it can be comparable to tempered weapons, if it scales or not. And saviors hide will mean I have 70% magic resist. I'd probably go light-armor, since robes will be useless. I'm wondering about gear and late-game though. If I'm right about the cost, it would've been awesome - I would just need to compensate by taking alchemy and making lots of magicka potions. And no, level 50 perk doesn't reduce the cost, I suspect that will work even without perking Conjuration at all. Casting cost for Bound Bow is around 470 I think, if you don't have lvl 75 perk.

Then I thought - what about Atronach stone? With +350 magicka, it will give me 460, which I can get to 500 with ring from Farengar.

Using Behind the Curtain, and serious problem - which stone to take? The thing is, Bound Bow comes at 75, that's insane and it means I'm stuck with normal bow for a veery long time. Buy some training in Conjuration to even it with Marksmanship. So I thought - go with heavy bows and bestial stew with Bosmer, use conjuration as the distraction in the beginning of the battle.

Why use archery when I can just summon a troll and a dog and fire atronach and use summon swarm? I tried rolling Breton, had 50 conjuration at level 9, but I don't feel it.
